Israeli guards killed a Palestinian teenager near a settlement in the occupied West Bank, but the Israeli army alleged that he was armed.
According to the AFP news agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that 18-year-old Karam Ali Ahmad Salman was shot dead by Israeli security forces near the settlement of "Kadomim".
A civilian security team shot dead a man armed with a handgun near a settlement in the northwest Bank, an Israeli army spokesman reported.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the settlement of Kadomim near the West Bank is privately owned and built on Palestinian land.
It should be noted that Israel has occupied the West Bank of Palestine since the 1967 Six-Day War and these settlements are considered illegal under international law.
According to AFP figures based on official sources, Karam Ali Salman is one of at least 32 Palestinians, including civilians and militants, killed in the West Bank region in the past month.
It should be noted that on Friday, a Palestinian gunman killed seven people outside a Jewish synagogue in Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem.
In response to this attack, the Israeli government has made several announcements, including measures to strengthen the occupied settlements.
According to AFP data, at least 26 Israelis and 200 Palestinians were killed in Israel and the Palestinian territories in 2022, the majority of whom were residents of the West Bank.
