He had very good manners. So today the whole village is crying for him. He was not my brother, he was my father.
These words are from the sister of Inspector Irfanullah, who was killed in the Peshawar mosque blast. The entire region is saddened to hear about the death of Irfan Allah. Irfan's brother Muhammad Zahid said that 'Irfan used to help everyone, he was there for people morning and evening.'
Muhammad Tahir Khan, a doctor who performed CPR on Irfan, wrote on Twitter, "I am personally very sorry for the death of this official as I tried my best to save his life for about 30 minutes." He suffered a deep head injury due to the collapse of the roof, which resulted in his death.
On reaching his house, his sister told that Irfan was a teacher first and then joined the police. He tearfully said that Irfan was the third among his eight siblings but he treated all his siblings like a father. I have seen that my elder brother used to consult with Irfan on everything. He respected his advice. He was not my brother, he was my father.
After the burial, Irfan's brother said that it is difficult for him to understand how such a big incident has happened in the security zone. This is not the first time that Irfan's life has been threatened. Earlier, his life was saved in another attack on Peshawar police. While this time he was in a safer place. But Allah will probably approve of this.
On reaching here, it was found that many of the injured police personnel belonged to other districts. While according to the doctors, the work of evacuating the injured buried under the debris is still going on. And as a result, the injured will be brought to the hospital.
The policemen under treatment at Lady Reading Hospital said that they regained consciousness on reaching the hospital.
Police officer Hayatullah had arrived in Peshawar for duty from Lucky Marwat 20 days ago. He said that his family does not know that he is in the hospital. The operation is going on in our area for the last several days.
53 injured people are currently being treated at Lady Reading Hospital. And according to the authorities, this number may increase. While most of the injured officers have either come here on posting or are residents of Peshawar. Yasir Amin is one of them. At this time, the bullets on his head have been removed. But doctors still don't want to touch the bullets on his leg. "Doctors have said it will go away with time."
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and especially in Peshawar, there have been attacks on the police in the past. Irfan's brother Zahid said that we all know how helpless the police are and why such incidents actually happen.
